Oh baby, what a way to start conference play. The 26 point win was LSU’s largest conference opening margin of victory since the 1980-81 season. LSU from the beginning to the end dominated a depleted Ole Miss team, but to be fair LSU was missing two of its stars.
The Tigers held their ninth straight opponent under 60 points. LSU jumped out to a 29-12 lead thanks great defensive pressure on Ole Miss. LSU forced 17 turnovers, while only giving the ball over nine times (that’s right nine times). LSU help Ole Miss to only 34 percent shooting and outscored them in the paint 32-18.
