This week LSU will rest during the week without any mid-week games and prepare to host Vanderbilt in their final home series on the season. If the Tigers can win the series against Vanderbilt they should find themselves in first place overall in the conference. Here is the weekly schedule for the Tigers.

Softball: Overall record 34-21, SEC Record 15-13.
The lady Tigers completed their regular season in a tail spin. Since their big matchup against Alabama for first place in the SEC West, the Tigers have dropped 13 of their last 19. They had a chance to salvage the regular season winning their last series at Kentucky, but it didn’t happen. In fact, they were swept and lost all three games by one-run.

Even with the struggles over the last month, the softball team did finish in the top-eight in the conference and earned the sixth seed.
LSU will play Florida in the opening round of the tournament on Saturday at 11:00am. ESPNU will televise the entire tournament.
Men’s Tennis: Overall record 14-10, SEC record 5-6. Ranked 21st in the country.
The team travels to Duke University to play in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. The Tigers opening by playing Northwestern on Saturday morning at 8:00am (not a typo). If the Tigers advance they will face the winner from the Duke/ George Washington match on Monday, May 13th.
