Mathieu in Rehab

ESPN’s Joe Schad has reported that Tyrann Mathieu has entered into a drug rehabilitation program in Houston at the Right Step recovery center, in the wake of being kicked off the LSU football team just weeks ago.

There are numerous teams across the country that would love to welcome the honey badger with open arms for their coming up season. Tyrone Mathieu, Tyrann’s adopted father has said that football will be put on hold until Tyrann’s drug rehabilitation is complete.

Mathieu last season was a Heisman finalist as well as the recipient of the Bednarik Award, which is awarded to the nations best defensive player. Mathieu does have two years of eligibility remaining and hopefully for him he finds a school to use it. If it is LSU I’m sure the fans would welcome him with open arms as this kid has all but broken every turnover record at LSU in just two short seasons.

LSU officials have not ruled out allowing Mathieu the opportunity to return to the LSU football field in the future. Miles and all the staff at LSU have wished Mathieu nothing but the best and have tried to help him make a transfer to a team where he can play football again.
