Storm in the Netherlands

Storm Warren the 6’7” 230 lbs. Forward from Richwood High School in Monroe, LA finished his senior season as an LSU Tiger this past season and is now on his way overseas to start his professional career.

He was invited to and played in the College All Star game after the regular season was over. Oh! He played only 12 minutes and managed to score 3 pts and pull in 6 rebounds. Five of his rebounds came in the first half.

Storm averaged 8.2 points a game, 5.1 rebounds, and played only 19.3 minutes per game as a senior. He had a career 13 double doubles, 500 (608) rebounds, 100(121) blocks and 100(112) steals, he is only the third player in LSU history to reach these combined stats. The other two you may have heard of Garrett Temple was the last and before him none other than Shaquille O’Neal. His rebound mark of 608 is 23rd all time at LSU and his blocks 121 are 4th all time.

Storm has now signed a contract with the Den Helder Kings of the Netherlands and is in the process of moving there. He will be playing for the Kings until April of 2013, and he is just looking forward to settling in to the new country and start playing basketball.
