Hurricane Isaac is set to make landfall on Louisiana late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, hopefully no major damage occurs. A few years ago LSU’s home opener against Appalachian State was pushed up because of Hurricane Gustav. This year it does not seem like the Hurricane will affect the game.
The tigers will be forced to practice indoors or only study film for Wednesday Thursday and maybe Friday depending on the damage of the storm. If there is any major damage in the area the Tigers will no doubt be out in the community to help the city recover.
We have become used to these types of things in the south, everyone is lined up at gas stations to pay $4.00 a gallon so they can fill up before the storm, every mom is going out and buying all the Top Raman Wal-mart has to offer. It has been a crazy week because all though it does not seem like a terrible storm we remember what happened with Katrina and nobody wants to be ill prepared.
And still all we can think about is getting the game and the season started on Saturday night in Death Valley. It will be a great day no matter what this storm brings, the Tigers will be ready to fight thru anything. I just can’t wait to see Zach Mettenberger throw his first pass as the starter for the LSU Tigers.
