Following a blowout victory against UAB and a high quality win over TCU, Les Miles’ LSU Tigers have ascended both the AP Top 25 and the TiqIQ Top 25 after week 2.
The #8 ranked Tigers have seen the average price of LSU football tickets rise 12% in the past week, vaulting them six spots to #6 in the TiqIQ Top 25. With an average price of $174 dollars, the tigers trail only Texas A&M among SEC teams, having surpassed Florida, Alabama, and Georgia in the past week.
With showdowns against all four of the aforementioned SEC teams still remaining on the schedule, LSU plays perhaps the most difficult schedule in the country this season. It will be both incredibly difficult and incredibly rewarding for the Tigers if they are able to string together a bunch of victories with such a daunting slate upcoming. Led by senior standout quarterback Zach Mettenberger however, LSU has the potential to win each and every time they take the field even in a highly competitive SEC.
Other major risers in the TiqIQ Top 25 this week include LSU (+12%), Michigan State (+17%), and Auburn (14%). The largest faller within the top 25 was Georgia (-6%), moving down 3 spots to #10.
