Tiger fans, I know the anticipation for tomorrow’s matchup is driving you crazy. To help you make it through the day, I have created Youtube Fridays. Every Friday before a game, I will show a few of my favorite LSU highlights. Kick back, click the links, watch some thrilling highlights, and comment what you think. Thank you, and most important, GEAUX TIGERS!
Jeremy Hill began his freshman season fifth on the depth chart and was expected to see little playing time in 2012. However, due to several injuries, Hill got an opportunity and he took advantage of it, putting together one of the best seasons for a freshman running back in LSU history. In 2012 he found the end-zone twelve times on the ground, breaking Dalton Hilliard’s LSU freshman rushing touchdowns record.
After an incredible Freshman campaign, Hill had much expected of him for his sophomore season. However, to the dismay of Tiger fans he was suspended indefinitely after he assaulted a man in a bar parking lot back in April. The stable of running backs went back to work preparing to take on the 2013 season without their star running back.
Youtube does not carry the fight video, but you can see the disturbing footage on USA Today. (Click here to watch the video on USA today)
After the court decided to only extend Hill’s suspension, Les Miles reinstated Hill back on the team via a team vote, before the beginning of the season. However, Hill received no playing time in the TCU matchup and had only six carries in the week two game against UAB.
Week three was a different story, Hill reminded the country about what a talented athlete he is. He had 117 yards and two touchdowns on 11 touches, making the Golden Flashes’ defense look silly.
Jeremy Hill received another chance from the LSU program, and if he stays out of trouble he will put together an incredible career for the Tigers. He has the talent, he just needs to be on the field.
