History was made with LSU’s 59-26 defeat of the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday night in Starkville as head coach Les Miles recorded his 90th win with LSU in only 112 games. He becomes the fastest to the 90-win plateau in LSU history. In the long and storied history of LSU football there have been a number of great coaches, but none had the rapid success that Miles has enjoyed since he took over in 2005.

In his 9th season, Miles has accomplished six, 10-win seasons and looks poised to achieve that feat again this season as LSU improved to 5-1 with their win over Mississippi State. His career in Baton Rouge is highlighted by the 2007 BCS National Championship and three SEC west titles.
He is 90-22 (48-18 in the SEC) and shows no signs of slowing down. he is 47 wins away from tying Charles McClendon for the all-time wins list at LSU who needed 203 games to get there while coaching from 1962-1979. Miles should get to that number before Dylan Moses even plays for him.
Congrats, Coach Miles. May you have all the Tiger Stadium grass to snack on in celebration.
