LSU Defense Shows Dominance in First Half Against Florida

All season, the LSU offense has stolen all the headlines. In the first half against Florida it was the LSU defense that has put the Tigers on top. LSU leads 14-3 after two quarters.

The offense has been incredible this season and has deserved the hype that has surrounded them. Cam Cameron has done a sensational job in his first year as the offensive coordinator. Zach Mettenberger has gone from a subpar SEC quarterback, to one of the best in the entire nation.

With the Tigers facing one of the top defenses in the country, the offense needed assistance. The LSU defense has stepped up in dramatic fashion. They only allowed 3 points in the entire half, to give LSU an 11 point lead.

Not only have they kept points off the board, the LSU defense has simply shut down Florida. The Gators were limited to 94 yards in the first half, 42 in the air and 52 on the ground.

It was an impressive half from the LSU defense. We will see if they can keep it up in the second half.
