Its time for SEC weekly previews. Every week I will predict all the games for that week that feature at least one SEC team.
Last week was the third week for SEC predictions. The only game I picked incorrectly last week was Missouri’s upset over Georgia. I thought the Bulldogs would prevail, but their injuries proved to be too much. I finished the week with a 6-1 record, putting me at 18-4 on the year.
Georgia @ Vanderbilt
Georgia will be trying to bounce back from their first SEC loss of the season. Vanderbilt will be attempting to win their first SEC game, after losing their first three. Georgia will be without several key players due to injury, including their top two running backs, Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall. Vanderbilt has yet to win against a quality opponent this season. The Commodores will be 0-4 in SEC play after the game.
Final Score: Georgia 31 Vanderbilt 20
South Carolina @ Tennessee
Two weeks ago Tennessee lost a heart breaker to Georgia in overtime. Tennessee is coming off a bye week and will be well rested as 11th ranked South Carolina visits Knoxville. South Carolina massacred the Arkansas Razorbacks last Saturday, winning by 45. Tennessee had their opportunity for a big win. This game will not be as close.
Final Score: South Carolina 35 Tennessee 17
Arkansas @ Alabama
Arkansas started the season 3-0 against non conference opponents. However, starting with their loss to Rutgers, Arkansas has lost their last four games. Since allowing 42 points to Texas A&M the Alabama defense has looked dominant. They have only allowed one touchdown in the past four games, and in that span are allowing an average of one point a quarter. This game will be over by the end of the first quarter.
Final Score: Arkansas 10 Alabama 38
Florida @ Missouri
Florida is coming off a 17-6 loss in Death Valley. Missouri pulled off the upset, defeating Georgia 41-26. Missouri won the game but at a high price. Starting quarterback James Franklin is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. This game is going to be close, but the Florida defense will hand Missouri its first loss of the season.
Final Score: Florida 21 Missouri 17
Auburn @ Texas A&M
Auburn has done extremely well this year, their only loss has come to 6th ranked LSU. They are currently ranked 24th in the country, but will have a tough task as the travel to College Station to face the Aggies. Texas A&M is coming off a hard fought win in Oxford. Aggie place kicker, Josh Lambo, hit a 33 yard field goal as time expired to beat the Ole Miss Rebels 41-38. Auburn has played well but they are no match for Johnny Manziel.
Final Score: Auburn 31 Texas A&M 48
LSU @ Ole Miss
LSU visits Oxford with intentions of extending the Ole Miss losing streak to four. For the complete preview click here. This will be Ole Miss’s third top ten opponent in their last four games. It has taken a toll on their team. Ole Miss has many players that will not be playing due to injury. LSU is coming off an encouraging victory against Florida. Their defense was the difference in the game as LSU won 17-6. LSU will dominate in all aspects of the game.
Final Score: LSU 42 Ole Miss 17
