Report Card: Jarvis Landry Led LSU WR’s at Ole Miss Rebels

Jarvis Landry has been slightly hobbled by an injured ankle and his production has suffered in the two games prior to Ole Miss. Against the Rebels, Landry got back on track and led the LSU Wide Receivers in a losing effort to the Rebels.

Odell Beckham Jr. had 5 catches for 72 yards. This is below his season average, but he had several key catches in the game. No catch was more important than his 15 yard grab on a crucial 4th and 10 late in the fourth quarter. The catch kept the drive alive and allowed the Tigers to tie the score at 24 three plays later.

For Landry it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, Landry had one catch for 12 yards, and LSU was held off the scoreboard. In the second half he had six receptions for 109 yards, including the game tying touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter.

It was far from a perfect night for the wide receivers. They were inconsistent at times, but they were the brightest spot on a struggling LSU team in Oxford.
