This week’s Death Valley Voice podcast is a little different than the previous episodes in that this one will open it up to all things SEC football and not solely LSU football. Don’t get me wrong this podcast will feature extensive coverage of the Tigers, but it will also cover some of the top storylines from the conference.

The podcast will be centered around the Bayou Bengals, but with Furman coming to Tiger Stadium this Saturday in what should be a glorified scrimmage for Les Miles’ club I decided to open it up and check out what is happening outside of Baton Rouge.

This week’s guests cover the SEC as well as anyone around and had to get their insight and perspective after a wild week in college football’s premier conference. First up is Jon Cooper from Saturday Down South who gave us a run down on all 14 teams in the conference and the upset that surprised him the most this past weekend.

Next up was Russ Mitchell, the lead SEC columnist for College Football News and Campus Insiders and host on sec14.com. He gave us his thoughts on the SEC’s ‘Bloody Saturday’, his prediction for the game between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Missouri Tigers and a surprising, yet not all that surprising, pick for SEC defensive player of the year.
