The Kansas City Chiefs are the surprise team in the NFL as Andy Reid’s team is off to a 7-0 start, but if they are to go to 8-0 vs. the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon, they may have to do so without Dwayne Bowe.
The former Pro Bowl wide receiver strained his groin at the end of Thursday’s practice and did not take part in Friday’s practice putting his status up in the air with an official designation of being questionable for Sunday. Reid said Bowe will be a game-time decision for the noon kickoff.
Bowe was expected to have a big season with the trading for quarterback Alex Smith. The former LSU Tiger and first round pick made a big proclamation in May when he said he’ll lead the NFL in receptions and touchdowns.
Bowe: “(Jamaal Charles) is going to lead the league in rushing this year and I’m going to lead the league in receptions and touchdowns.’’

Bowe has a lot of work to do to back up those words as he doesn’t even lead the Chiefs in receptions with 25 catches for 295 yards and two touchdowns.
This is not the type of production expected of him–especially from fantasy football owners–after signing a five-year deal for $56 million in the offseason.
