There were not many huge upsets this week in college football to completely shake up this week’s AP top 25 poll as compared to the one we saw last week, but a team in the top five did lose for the third week in a row.
The Missouri Tigers were knocked off in double overtime by the South Carolina Gamecocks and two other teams ranked ahead of the LSU Tigers fell on Saturday.
Would the voters be inclined to boost LSU up in the polls despite a sloppy first half vs. Furman and back into the top 10?
The Texas Tech Red Raiders (10) and UCLA Bruins (12) dropped their games opening the door for LSU to move back into the top 10 after dropping from No. 6 to 13 last Sunday and currently sit at No. 11.
The top four remained unchanged, but Baylor moved into the top five after their blowout win over the Kansas Jayhawks.
- Alabama Crimson Tide
- Oregon Ducks
- Florida State Seminoles
- Ohio State Buckeyes
- Baylor Bears
You can view the rest of the AP top 25 poll here. The SEC had six teams on this week’s poll and all were inside the top 14.
