Last week, College GameDay was in Tallahassee for Florida State’s 41-10 stomping of previously unbeaten Miami. It is no surprise that GameDay will cover the Alabama-LSU game for the third consecutive year.

This new rivalry has had major National Championship implications in recent years. LSU comes into the game with two losses and is virtually out of the title race, but they are still in the hunt for a BCS Bowl berth.

Alabama is the No.1 team in the country and will try to stay on track to a third straight National Championship.

All eyes will be on College GameDay figurehead Lee Corso Saturday morning as he makes his always entertaining headgear pick. Corso has been perfect the past two years in this rivalry. In both instances he picked the road team, and in both cases he was correct.

In 2011, he predicted the Tigers to knock off the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. It was a defensive battle but LSU came out victorious 9-6.

Last year, Corso played it safe and picked highly favored Alabama. LSU almost proved his pick wrong, but the Crimson Tide led a last minute drive that resulted in a touchdown and loss for the Tigers.

Alabama is an 11.5 point favorite coming into the game, but it is a rivalry game, and crazier things have happened. Time will tell what headgear Corso will pick this weekend.
