Duck Dynasty Helmet from LSU is Ridiculously Awesome (Photo)

Duck Dynasty is one of the biggest cultural phenomenons in the past few years and the cultural impact of the show was evident with countless Halloween costumes this year, and at LSU where they have designed a custom helmet that Duck Dynasty gave their seal of approval on.

The helmet was discovered Tuesday during an All-Access look inside the LSU program yesterday on ESPN with Kaylee Hartung. She went on a ride-along with Les Miles and inside the quarterback room with Zach Mettenberger and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

In a day when alternate uniforms and custom helmets are all the rage–especially at Oregon–I think this is pretty sweet, but unfortunately we shouldn’t expect to see these helmets on any Tigers any time soon during a game. LSU associate sports information director Bill Martin tweeted the helmet was just for show and it won’t be used.

I’m all about tradition and classic uniforms, but I would like to see these helmets used once–and once only–I think it would appeal to to a number of fans and recruits as well.

Sound off in the comment section below with your thoughts on the helmet and if you’d like to see LSU use the helmet for a game.
