Les Miles is extremely accomplished in terms of getting results at LSU. He boasts a 92-23 record. He has an astonishing 20 4th quarter/overtime comeback victories. Miles is 55-7 in Tiger Stadium. He has won two SEC Championships and a Nation Championship in 2007. Miles accomplishments are numerous, but looking past his coaching success, Miles is the most entertaining coach in all of College Football.

“The Mad Hatter” always keeps the opposition guessing. The man has serious guts. He converted 5 fourth down conversions to defeat Florida in 2007. That same year, instead of lining up for game winning field goal, Miles allowed Matt Flynn to throw the ball deep and complete a touchdown pass with just a single second remaining on the clock.

He continuously pulls of creative trick plays that leave opponents in shock. In 2007 against South Carolina, LSU executed a fake field goal to perfection with place holder Matt Flynn tossing the ball over his head to Colt David who ran it in for a 15 yard touchdown. Even South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier was amazed by the play call.

Two years later Miles had the gall to run that same fake field goal again. LSU trailed by three against Florida with 35 seconds left in the game and the Tigers lined up to attempt a game tying field goal. The Tigers once again executed the flip-over-the-head fake field goal, but this time in nail bitting fashion. The ball bounced before Josh Jasper was able to grab the ball and pick up the first down. Jarrett Lee completed a game winning three-yard touchdown pass four plays later.

In 2010, LSU was trailing Alabama 14-13 early in the fourth quarter. It was 4th-and-1 on the Alabama 26 yard line, and to the surprise of no one Les Miles lined up his team to go for it. The Crimson Tide crowded the box expecting the Tigers to try to power their way for the first down. It appeared that Alabama had guessed correctly as LSU handed the ball off to running back Stevan Ridley, but Ridley quickly handed the ball off to tight end Deangelo Peterson on a reverse that would go for 23 yards. The trickery would set up a Tiger touchdown that helped LSU upset Alabama.

Aside from his crazy on-field antics, Miles has turned post game interviews into must-see comedy acts. When the clock hits zero at the end of a LSU game is not the time to change the channel because it is always exciting to see what Coach Miles will say afterwards. Miles has several memorable press conferences and interviews. Overall it is undeniable that Les Miles is the most entertaining coach in the country.
