LSU (7-3) was idle this week as the Tigers had an extra week to heal after their game at Alabama and to prepare for the Texas A&M Aggies (8-2)who will be at Tiger Stadium Saturday afternoon in another must-win game for LSU. Would the week off hurt the team in the AP top 25 and coaches polls?
It would not in the AP top 25 as the Bayou Bengals remained at No. 18 poll, but LSU did drop one spot to No. 19 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
The top five in the AP was disrupted with the USC Trojans knocking off the No. 5 Stanford Cardinal at the Los Angeles Coliseum, and the team Stanford beat last week, the Oregon Ducks, moved back into the top five with their win over the Utah Utes.
And the Baylor Bears leaped over the Ohio State Buckeyes, despite them putting up 60 points against Illinois.
You can view the entire AP top 25 here, but here is how the AP top 25 for Week 13 looks:
The BCS rankings will be released at 7:30 p.m. CT and for the third week in a row the top two of Alabama and Florida State will remain unchanged, but will Baylor pass Ohio State?
LSU will look to move up in next week’s AP top 25 and Coaches poll with the upset win in the penultimate home game of the 2013 season vs. Johnny Manziel and the No. 9 Aggies with kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT and televised on CBS (HD)
