LSU Tigers Bowl Projections: Week 12

The Week 12 bowl projections are out and LSU is projected to two different bowls after ESPN’s Brad Edwards and Mark Schlabach released their findings for the week. Schlabach has the Tigers playing the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Outback Bowl in an SEC-Big Ten battle and Edwards has LSU in the AT&T Cotton Bowl taking on the Oklahoma Sooners.

Last week Schlabach had LSU projected to play the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Taxslayer.com Gator Bowl while Edwards still had Les Miles’ club in the Cotton Bowl, but the opponent was that other team in Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

At this point it looks like the Cotton Bowl is the best-case scenario destination for the Tigers, but we will have to see what happens next week if LSU is able to knock off the Texas A&M Aggies from Tiger Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Aggies are projected to the Cotton Bowl by Schlabach, so it could be a case where the winner from Death Valley gets pretty much locked into the game in Arlington, Texas.
