Fansided Podcast: Rivalry Week, Heisman Watch & BCS Reactions

With Thanksgiving on Thursday and it being Rivalry Week I had to roll out this week’s Death Valley Voice podcast a little early this week, so hopefully you’ll enjoy the discussion with myself and Jack Jorgensen, the college football editor for FanSided.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

You can also download the podcast and listen to it while you’re doing your traveling for Thanksgiving.

On this week’s podcast we start with the dominating defense the LSU Tigers unleashed on Johnny Manziel, Mike Evans and the Texas A&M Aggies, Terrence Magee continuing to contribute when given an opportunity and the historic afternoon by Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry.

We then take a glance at the rivalry game this Friday afternoon between LSU and the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game that has had some great matchups in year’s past, but doesn’t figure to provide much drama on Black Friday.

Then we bounce out outside of the SEC and wonder aloud if LSU eliminated Manziel from the Heisman and who could be receiving an invite to the Downtown Athletic Club for the ceremony next month. Who could be some surprise candidates and how will Rivalry Week alter the Heisman race, especially in the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn.
