It wasn’t always pretty for LSU on the Tiger’s Senior Day at Tiger Stadium against the rival Arkansas Razorbacks, as LSU lost star receiver/returner Odell Beckham, center Elliott Porter and quarterback Zach Mettenberger. But the character and resolve of this team was on display late in the game as the Tigers rallied behind Anthony Jennings and escaped with a 31-27 win.
This is the 15th time LSU has gone undefeated as Tiger Stadium in program history. After the game head coach Les Miles was almost lost for words–which is saying something for the man who has a way with words–and you can hear the emotion pouring from the coach’s mouth after the thrilling victory.

Here’s the post game press conference from Coach Miles with his thoughts on the productivity of the offense and defense early and the style of the game they found themselves in, including the controversial decision to go for it on fourth down and bypass a field goal late in the game.
Of note was when Miles speaks on the injury to Mettenberger, what the senior quarterback’s message to the media was, the demeanor of Anthony Jennings who came in and directed a 99-yard touchdown drive to win the game, and how fortunate he is to coach a special group of guys who never gave up.
