Former LSU defensive tackle and current Philadelphia Eagles rookie Bennie Logan was always a fan favorite and team leader during his tenure at Baton Rouge and now Logan is showing Eagles fans the type of person and character he has after spending the day at Spring Brook Farms with two autistic brothers.
This is from mid-November, but not many noticed the good and selfless act of Logan so after The Barn at Spring Brook Farm posted the video to their YouTube channel yesterday I thought it deserved another opportunity to bring light to the good work of Logan and especially the Barn at Spring Brook Farm.
Logan discovers a unique barn with unique animals that serve the most unique purpose. Animal-Assisted Activities for Children with Disabilities. The farm has transitioned to primarily helping kids on the autism spectrum by the choice of the families.
Logan spend the day with two brothers named Jimmy and Brandon and got to see all the different animals at the barn including feeding goats, a pot-belly pic and grooming a miniature horse.
“Today was truly an exciting day because it took me back to my childhood,” Logan told the Daily Local News. “I was always around farm animals as a kid because my cousin had a cow and horse farm back in Louisiana. I especially want to thank my partners, Jimmy and Brandon, for bringing a lot of energy and excitement to the barn this afternoon. I had just as much fun as they did and it was an experience I’ll always remember.”
