With reports saying Aaron Rodgers was never really close to being cleared to start for the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s game vs. the Pittsburh Steelers, Matt Flynn was guaranteed of at least one more start and he picked up where he left off a week ago against the Dallas Cowboys.

Flynn hit breakout receiver Jarrett Boykin from five yards out to put the Packers up 7-0 after a 13-play, 87-yard drive that chewed up 5:19 minutes off the clock.

Flynn is the fourth different quarterback to start for the Packers this season and needs a win over the Steelers to keep pace with the Chicago Bears in the NFC North so if they are able to knock off the Bears with or without Rodgers under center, the Packers can get to the postseason.

Flynn is 2-1-1 as the starter for Green Bay in his second stint with the club that drafted him in the seventh round out of LSU after he led the Tigers to the BCS National Championship his senior season.
