The NFL announced the Pro Bowl rosters for the annual all-star game (glorified game of two-hand touch) and two former LSU Tigers were selected.
Defensive tackle Kyle Williams from the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson will represent their NFL clubs and their alma maters in the game played in Hawaii.
Peterson makes his third Pro Bowl team in his third year in the league after leaving LSU as the Thorpe, Bednarik and SEC Defensive Player of the Year en route to being named a consensus All-American in 2010. Peterson was taken with the fifth overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Williams also makes his third Pro Bowl and second in as many years and and is the anchor on one of the more talented defensive lines in the NFL. His teammate Mario Williams will join him in Hawaii and Marcell Dareus had a good case for his being included in the Jan. 26 game.
Williams was a first team All-SEC performer his senior season at LSU and a second team All-American by the AP before being selected in the fifth round by the Bills.
