Leonard Fournette is the signature piece that Les Miles and LSU is hoping to add to their 2014 recruiting class and have long been considered the overwhelming favorite for the nation’s top recruit.
The 6-1, 226-pound running back from St. Augustine high school in New Orleans is practicing in Orlando for Thursday’s Under Armour All-American Game where he’ll make his decision.
Current Alabama Crimson Tide commit and five-star athlete Bo Scarbrough sent this nugget out earlier today that could give some apprehension to LSU fans in advance of Fournette’s announcement.
Granted we don’t know the full context of the exchange between the two, because it very well could have been an if-then statement. For example, maybe Fournette said if I were to commit to Alabama, then I would room with you.
In any event this is just more fuel to the recruiting fire that is burning pretty bright as LSU is hoping to land Fournette and a few other five-star recruits on Thursday.
Don’t you just love recruiting season?
