LSU Tigers vs. Rhode Island Rams: preview, live stream and prediction

The LSU Tigers basketball team has been on a tear recently. The Tigers have won five straight and nine of their last ten. LSU puts their streak on the line against the Rhode Island Rams Saturday night in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Rhode Island is 8-6 on the year but they have struggled mightily against quality competition. The game begins at 4:30 CT on ESPN3 or you can watch the live stream here.

Rhode Island is led by their senior guard Xavier Munford. Munford averages a team best 15.7 points per game to go along with 3.9 rebounds and 2 assists a game. He may lead the team in scoring but he puts up a lot of shots to get there. He is currently averaging over 14 field goal attempts a game, with a field goal percentage of just 36%.

LSU has been play really well lately and Rhode Island has not been able to hang with quality opponents all season. LSU comes into the game a 16 points favorite but I think they use their size advantage to win by even more. Tigers win 87 to 60.
