LSU recruit Malachi Dupre: 'We're gonna be so nasty this year'

National Signing Day was already five days ago but the excitement has yet to die down for Malachi Dupre who committed to the LSU Tigers last Wednesday from John Curtis high school.

The nation’s No. 2 wide receiver recruit in the nation is expected to compete for a starting job this summer with Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr declaring early for the NFL draft.

It’s those two players who may have helped convince Dupre to stay home and play for Cameron and LSU after the pair each surpassed the 1,000 yard mark in Cameron’s first year as offensive coordinator.

Imagining what Cameron can do with a talent like Dupre who is more advanced than either Landry or Beckham out of high school is a tantalizing thought for LSU fans and a scary proposition for SEC defensive backs.

One reason why LSU coaches are so excited about the 6-3 receiver is his leaping ability and Dupre showed off his hops today at basketball practice.

Think there are going to be a few jump balls for Dupre over the next 3-4 years in Baton Rouge?
