LSU at Texas A&M: preview, TV info, live stream and prediction

The LSU Tigers (15-7, 4-5) men’s basketball team looks to win their fourth game in their past five when they travel to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (13-10, 4-6) at 8:00 p.m. CT from Reed Arena. The game can be viewed online at ESPN3.

LSU is coming off an 87-80 victory over the Auburn Tigers on Feb. 8 when the frontcourt of Johnny O’Bryant III, Jordan Mickey and Jarell Martin played much better than they did in the Feb. 6 loss at Georgia.

This will be a test for LSU despite playing the Aggies who lost six of their last seven games. On the surface it would look like a layup for LSU, but Johnny Jones‘ team has struggled on the road this year.

LSU has dropped their last three road games and have not won on the road since they defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks (8-15, 1-9) by three on Jan. 11. In fact, LSU has two road wins this year by a combined two points. They won at Texas Tech 71-59 on Dec. 18 and are 2-5 on the year away from Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

With the Ole Miss Rebels losing to Alabama on Tuesday evening if LSU can defeat A&M they will move into third place in the SEC.

Despite the road woes by LSU this season, this is a perfect time for LSU to pick up a convincing win away from home with the Aggies playing poor of late and ranking 311th in the NCAA in scoring, 225th in rebounding and 255th in field goal percentage, this should be a Tiger win.

Prediction: LSU wins 84-66.
