The LSU Tigers baseball team had a perfect opening weekend as they swept a home-and-home series with New Orleans and defeated Grambling on Sunday as 15 Tigers made their LSU debut.

The Tigers are ranked as high as No. 2 in the nation by USA Today and travel to Hammond to take on Southeastern Louisiana who went 2-1 over the weekend vs. Louisiana Tech.

Junior left-hander Cody Glenn makes the start for Wednesday’s game and will be opposed by junior right-hander Sean Kennel.

Glenn pitched a perfect inning in relief in Sunday’s win and is coming off a sophomore season that saw the southpaw go 7-3 with a 2.68 ERA. Kennel was 6-3 with a 3.49 ERA last season.

LSU has not lost to SLU since 2008 and has won 17 of the last 18 and 30 of the last 33 games between the two programs, including a 13-1 LSU win last season.
