The LSU Tigers claim the No. 1 recruiting class for 2015 after four-star wide receiver Jazz Ferguson committed along with No. 1 fullback David Ducre.
The 6-5, 205-pound Ferguson is the nation’s No. 185 recruit overall, the No. 21 receiver and No. 7 recruit in the state of Louisiana according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Growing up a fan of LSU made the decision to commit to LSU four days after receiving his offer from the staff an easy call to make for the big receiver who should develop nicely opposite Malachi Dupre.
LSU now has nine commitments for the class that moved up to the top spot, ahead of fellow SEC programs Texas A&M, Alabama, Mississippi State and Tennessee as the conference is getting a leg up on the rest of the nation on the recruiting trail.
Ferguson is the first wide receiver to commit to LSU this year, but likely won’t be the last as the state’s top recruit and No. 3 receiver in the nation, Tyron Johnson (New Orleans, La. Warren Easton) is viewed as an early LSU lean.
