2016 LSU baseball schedule released
The 2016 LSU baseball schedule was released on Monday, with the season beginning on February 19th against the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Despite falling short of their ultimate goal of a College World Series victory, the LSU baseball team was nothing short of phenomenal in 2015.
The Bayou Bengals did not lose back-to-back games all season long, winning the regular season SEC title in the process. They also lost a total of just one series in 2015, falling two games to 1 to the Kentucky Wildcats.

With players recently returning from their respective summer leagues, LSUsports.net has released the Tigers’ schedule for the upcoming college baseball season.
LSU opens the season against the Cincinnati Bearcats at home on February 19th. Most notable among the non-conference games is a showdown with the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic, to be hosted in Metaire, La. on March 22nd at 7 p.m. (CDT).
In addition, the schedule features several high-profile SEC matchups, including a three-game series to end the regular season against the reigning conference champion Florida Gators.
