With the 2016 College Football season drawing nearer, and a developing Brandon Harris heading into his third season, it’s an excellent time to look back at the best quarterbacks that have played for the LSU Tigers.

Since the Tigers first became a college football team in 1893, LSU football has produced a number of great quarterbacks. Some were unable to succeed in the NFL, while others flourished and earned awards for their accomplishments.

Honorable mentions go to Matt Mauck, Y.A. Tittle, Rohan Davey ,and Alan Risher. These four quarterbacks contributed greatly to the LSU football program, but fall just short of making the list.
