Ego Ferguson entered this season in the shadow of Johnson, but has outplayed his much-hyped defensive line counterpart for much of the season. He may not have the same ceiling as Johnson, but his floor may be higher than Johnson’s and could be a very safe pick.

Scouts Inc ranks Ferguson as the fourth best DT prospect, one spot ahead of Johnson, and the 34th best prospect overall.

Prediction: He’ll declare for the draft and be picked in the top portion of the second round.
