After national signing day has officially added 23 new members to the LSU Tigers football team we can start to slot these new players into the Tiger’s depth chart and when you have the No. 2 class in the nation as LSU did, you can begin to plug more than a couple holes.
Here’s how the depth chart shakes out, according to Tiger Rag. Certainly this is a very fluid situation and will be updated once spring practice gets underway.
Fournette is going to be starting, but the job won’t be handed to him–and it shouldn’t–Brandon Harris may be the most talented quarterback on the roster, so I wouldn’t be shocked to see him win the job at some point in 2014 when he grasps the playbook. Ethan Pocic is not a natural guard, but i can see him filling the void left by Trai Turner.
I think we’ll see one of the freshmen safety’s starting, but I like Jamal Adams to get the nod. I actually think Ed Paris may have a future at cornerback instead of safety. I’d like to see Clifton Garrett and Kendell Beckwith on the field a lot this year. Lack of experience concerns me at defensive tackle, but I really like this group of ends.
