4.) Leonard Fournette just needs time. His 92 yards on 13 carries was a marked improvement from last week’s performance, when it appeared he was forcing the issue too much. Against SHSU, Fournette showed improved vision & found more running room inside. His 40 yard run put his physical gifts on full display, carrying an SHSU defender for the final 5 yards. If he continues improving at a similar pace, he may well get to do his Heisman pose all over again.

At times it still felt somewhat forced with the play calling. When they tried to get Fournette out in space, the defense seemed to sense it and bottled up any and all outside rushing lanes. Cam Cameron will have to continue to develop ways to get Fournette involved in the offense, while also not tipping the defense off to the play.
