LSU running back Leonard Fournette is already becoming a household name around the country. If he lives up to expectations this season, he could do more than earn national recognition. He could earn the hardware to go along with it.

Fournette is currently on the preseason watch list for several national honors. Among them are the prestigious Doak Walker, Walter Camp and Maxwell Awards.

He also enters 2015 as one of the top Heisman Trophy candidates in the country after setting the LSU freshman rushing record. Winning the coveted honor will be a tall order, but when you consider the running back’s elite combination of size, speed and strength, anything is possible.

In addition to Fournette, the Tigers return Darrell Williams. Williams ran for 302 yards and three touchdowns in limited action last year as a true freshman.

LSU also has a trio of talented incoming freshman at the position in Derrius Guice, Nick Brossette and David Ducre. All three were Louisiana high school football stars prior to joining the Tigers.
