Offensive line is another one of the biggest strengths on this LSU football team.

The Tigers boast three offensive linemen that are on the preseason watch lists for several prestigious national honors. Senior Vadal Alexander is an early candidate to win the Outland Trophy (nation’s best interior lineman) and the Rotary Lombardi Award (nation’s best down lineman). Freshman tackle Toby Weathersby is also on the watch list for the Lombardi Award, while junior Ethan Pocic is in the running for the Rimington Trophy (nation’s best center).

In addition, Jerald Hawkins, Garrett Brumfield, Josh Boutte, KJ Malone, William Clapp and Andy Dodd are all talented linemen who are expected to see the field as well.

Despite losing their best player up front to the NFL Draft, La’el Collins, the Bayou Bengals could actually be improved on the offensive line. They have one of the most experienced units in the SEC, and Weatherby is an early enrollee that LSU has high hopes for.

Leonard Fournette may be the big name of the offense, but his offensive line is going to play a major role in allowing him to live up to the lofty expectations.
