Here is a look at the Top 10 plays of the LSU football team’s 2015 campaign.

2015 was an eventful year for LSU football.

Defensive coordinator John Chavis left for College Station, Brandon Harris won the quarterback competition over Anthony Jennings and, at the end of the season, Les Miles nearly lost his job. And that does not begin to cover what happened on the field.

The season opener against McNeese State was canceled due to inclement weather. The South Carolina game, originally scheduled to be played in Columbia, S.C., was moved to Baton Rouge due to flooding. Leonard Fournette continued to develop into one of the most dominant running backs in the country, while the passing game was good enough to help the Tigers to a 7-0 start.

LSU was No. 2 in the first College Football Playoff rankings before losing three of its last four regular season games. Wins over No. 25 Mississippi State, No. 18 Auburn and No. 8 Florida highlighted the first half of the year, while fans were let down hard with three straight losses to No. 7 Alabama, Arkansas and No. 25 Ole Miss.

Tiger fans have come to expect the Purple and Gold to be perennial championship contenders, meaning 2015 failed to meet those lofty expectations.

The year in Baton Rouge was a wild one, but the Tigers capped off the year with a bang—and perhaps some hope for the future—cruising to a 56-27 victory over Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl.

Some fans may view 2015 as a disappointment, but through the highs and lows of the season, 10 plays stood out as the best of the year.
