It certainly is not a stretch to say that freshman running back Derrius Guice would be starting at many other FBS schools. When he filled in for Leonard Fournette this season, Guice did not disappoint, providing the LSU offense with explosive plays throughout 2015. This 50-yard touchdown run in the third quarter against Texas A&M helped swing momentum in the Tigers’ favor.

Plays like these are why Guice found a spot on the 2015 SEC All-Freshman team. LSU scuffled through the first half against the Aggies after losing three straight to Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss, but the 50-yard score provided a spark in the second half of this game, giving LSU the lead for good. With Fournette, Darrel Williams and Nick Brossette joining Guice in the backfield, the rushing attack was certainly not to blame for any offensive problems in 2015.
