While the passing game struggled throughout the second half of the season, there were bright spots, especially in LSU’s 35-28 victory over No. 8 Florida. Though the Tigers already led by a touchdown with under a minute left in the first half, they were not content with that lead, opting to air it out on third-and-nine. Brandon Harris was able to avoid the Gators’ pass rush and find Malachi Dupre, who took an advantage of a mental lapse by a defender to give LSU a two-touchdown lead heading to the locker room.

Harris’ best game in SEC play came in the win over Florida, as he completed 13-of-19 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns, good for a 192.5 passer rating. Such a performance in a big-time, Top 10 matchup is why many still have hope for Harris to be LSU’s future under center.
