In 2014, Leonard Fournette took on kick return duties as a true freshman. A year later, Derrius Guice stepped in as a true freshman and delivered one of the more memorable moments of 2015 against Texas A&M. After he broke tackles with stiff arms and pure strength, it took a kicker wrapped around his ankles to bring him down, but not before he gave LSU the ball in Aggies’ territory at the 25-yard line.
Unfortunately for Guice, his teammates did not take advantage of such a monstrous return. The offense stalled before Trent Domingue missed 46-yard field goal. Regardless, the failure to capitalize did not take away from what was an impressive return from a kid who was playing in just his 11th collegiate game.
