3. Matt Flynn

Making his first college career start in 2007, Matt Flynn was particularly known for his cool and calm demeanor in the pocket.

With the Tigers, Flynn was a fairly mobile quarterback, and always had the audacity to go for the big play.

Flynn served as JaMarcus Russell’s backup before he assumed the starting position. Flynn led the team to the BCS National Championship in 2008, where the team defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, 38-24.

Flynn was named Offensive MVP of the game, just as he was in the 2005 Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl. Flynn also earned the title of SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 20 versus the Auburn Tigers.

Flynn posted a record of 12-2 on his career, throwing for 3,096 yards and 31 touchdowns. He completed 56.1 percent of his passes, and managed to throw just 14 interceptions as an LSU Tiger.
