2. Tommy Hodson

A four-year starter from 1986-1989, Hodson ranks second on the list. Hodson was known primarily for his consistency, holding the LSU football record for most quarterback wins with 31 victories.

Hodson was named an All-SEC performer every year of his career with the Tigers by at least one significant wire service. He also boasts three of the five longest streaks of pass attempts without an interception in the history of LSU, and was the very first quarterback of his conference to throw for more than 8,000 yards in his career, totaling 9,115 yards at the end of his college career.

Hodson has plenty of school records to his name still, even 27 years later. These include total offense and passing touchdowns, in addition to multiple other passing records.

One of Hodson’s most remarkable drives – perhaps even one of LSU’s best drives of all time – was the game-winner versus the Auburn Tigers in the “Earthquake Game” of 1988.
