No. 3 Johnny O’Bryant III

A former McDonald’s All-American (though not recruited by Johnny Jones), O’Bryant III was a joy to watch during his stretch on the Tigers. Standing 6’8″ and 257 lbs. but carrying with him the presence of a seven-footer, O’Bryant III wreaked havoc on opposing defenses. He saw a huge uptick in production and attention from NBA scouts his junior year as improved conditioning led to his most active and productive season.

O’Bryant III was offensively capable in the post, facing up, or on the fast break—and when playing all-out was a menacing defender. He gave an unforgettable performance when he amassed 29 points in a game against Kentucky star-laden frontline. Playing for the Bucks, he has struggled with injuries and seen mixed results, but no one who saw O’Bryant III at his best will forget the tenacity that he brought to the Tigers.
