The Tigers will be begin SEC play primetime; will play the Gators on CBS in The Swamp.

When the Tigers take on the Gators on October 6th, they will be taking them on in primetime. CBS announced this morning that the game will be at the 3:30 ET slot, which is often considered by most to be the SEC Game of the Week. You can check out the announcement here via the Tigers Twitter page:

The matchup will be a highly anticipated one, as both teams both are physical and have played each other well in the last few meetings. In matter of fact, the last four meetings have been only been decided by 17 points total, with LSU taking three of the last four. With both teams playing so close the last few years and being one of the more underrated rivalry games in the SEC, CBS made sure this game would be the one to showcase. The game will be played in Gainesville for the second straight year, due to the relocation of the game in 2016.

This game has had quite its fair share of fun stories, with anything from Hurricane Delays from fake field goals.  It will be the 3rd time that Coach Orgeron will take on the Gators as head coach of the Tigers, with his record sitting at an even 1-1. Coach O also coached against them as the Head Coach of Ole Miss in 2007, losing 30-24. While the his record is below .500, it seems that Coach O finally has the team that he wanted to build here in Baton Rouge and that will be a big advantage.

Coming off a home stretch, it will be the first major game away from home for the Tigers and a big win could vault them even further up the polls, where they deserve to be. Expect the game to be a good one, as this rivalry never lets us down.
