If you are a fan of big time running plays, you might want to tune into the game against Ole Miss.

If you have watched any SEC football this season, you probably know two things: the Tigers are much better than advertised and the Ole Miss defense is terrible. One of the up-and-coming rivalries in the SEC, The Magnolia Bowl might not be as good as it has been in recent years. After the Tigers ran all over the Bulldogs last Saturday, expect much of the same against the 99th ranked run defense of the Rebels. So far on the year, the Tigers are averaging about 170 yards per game and the Rebels are allowing an whopping 190 yard per game. Considering the Rebels haven’t taken on any teams that are considered a real test, besides Alabama, that rank is not a good look for that program.

With Nick Brossette, one of the rising stars this season, running wild and the emergence of Clyde Edwards-Hillaire, there might be highlight reel runs galore. A few injuries on the offensive line might be a storyline to follow, particularly to see how it may effect the run game. Starting left guard Garett Brumfield will be out for the game, and fellow starters Saahdiq Charles and Adrian Magee are listed as questionable. With the depth that has been built up by Coach Orgeron, it should be a manageable situation on Saturday, though Brumfield is a big loss.

The series in the last couple of years has been highly competitive, with both teams sharing their fair share of highs and lows in recent years. Besides the run game, the passing game should be highly successful as well, and Joe Burrow can continue to refine his passing skills. There should be a lot of points, but I think this one falls in the favor of the Tigers.

The game time has been set for 8:15 CT in Tiger Stadium on ESPN.
