In what some pegged as the premier game of the week, LSU Football cruised to another big win over Ole Miss.

As mentioned at halftime, this LSU Football team is pretty good. Like maybe top team in the country good. With the other teams having quarterback issues, injuries, and questionable play calling, the Tigers just keep doing the same, winning. Winning like as in 29 point beat down winning.

Going into the game there was a lot of questions about this team, even from myself. How would the defense handle the Ole Miss air raid, specifically how would the defensive backs handle it? How would Joe Burrow handle the big stage? How would he throw the ball? How would this team look under the lights? How would Coach Orgeron coach this team?

I think we got our answers.

This team played fast and physical. This team looked hungry, and no one deserves more credit than Coach O. The team would run through a wall for him, and to me that sets this Tiger team miles ahead of any of the ones in the past. The teams of the past were talented, but none loved the fans and coach as much as this one does. When you come out fast and get off to a hot start, everyone starts just having fun and gets in a groove. You can’t beat that or at least it is very hard to.

Joe Burrow was precise and showed he is grasping the system much better than in game one, as he looked very comfortable all night. He completed a high percentage throughout the game and ran the ball really well. Well as in, he had nearly 100 yards and led the team in rushing. (No that is not a typo!) The ground game was not all Burrow though, as the Tigers torched the Rebels on the ground with 281 yards rushing for the game. With this team clicking and firing on all cylinders heading into the stretch of SEC play, it could be quite the season.

It is hard to think that an 18 point victory might be the biggest miss of the season, and the Tigers led that game 24-0 at one point. We wanted consistency. We wanted to know what this team was all about. 45 points later… I think we might have been given our answer.
