Former Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson took a shot at the LSU Tigers ahead of Monday’s national championship game.

Earlier this week, former LSU Tigers baseball player (and current Houston Astros third baseman) Alex Bregman gave his score prediction for his alma mater’s upcoming College Football Playoff championship game matchup against the Clemson Tigers.

Bregman predicted that LSU will beat Clemson 42-16. When he was told that former Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson was “ridging with the real Tigers”, Bregman replied “I’m glad he’s rooting for LSU”.

When Watson was told about Bregman’s comments on Wednesday, he laughed it off, saying “they know where the real death valley is…..we ain’t worried about no LSU”.

Watson probably has room to talk smack more than most folks — considering he led Clemson to a championship game win against Alabama.

But I’m not sure anyone should be throwing too much shade at the 2019 LSU Tigers.

Especially when the Tigers are dropping hype videos like this.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to run through 1,000 brick walls after watching that.

Who knows what will transpire on Monday night. Hopefully it’s a competitive game that captivates viewers.

But for now, it’s hard for me not to imagine that LSU is the favorite on Monday night in New Orleans.

Home crowd, Coach O, and the best quarterback in the country?

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I already know who the real Tigers are.

And they aren’t in South Carolina.
