LSU Tigers wide receivers coach/passing game coordinator Joe Brady is a hot commodity right now in the coaching world.

Before the start of the 2019 season, The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman predicted that Joe Brady would be an important asset for the LSU Tigers.

In fact, Feldman suggested he could be “the biggest signing of LSU’s offseason”.

I remember reading Feldman’s column last summer and somewhat dismissing it. Maybe I’m a bit jaded after years of reading (and writing) about failed sports predictions. It’s not that I thought Brady couldn’t live up to Feldman’s hype, I just needed to see it to believe it.

Well, Feldman was right. Brady clearly possesses one of the best offensive minds in football. His impact on Joe Burrow and LSU’s offense this season has been simply incredible.

Burrow went from putting up modest numbers to setting records and filling the stat sheets with mind blowing numbers.

I mean, 5,208 passing yards with a 77 percent completion rating and only six interceptions (along with 55 touchdowns)…..who in the world does that?!?

(And would Burrow have put up those numbers with Brady?)

Understandably, plenty of NFL teams (and other college programs) are now interested in Brady, despite his lack of on-the-field experience.

The Carolina Panthers are the latest team interested in speaking with Brady. New head coach Matt Rhule is reportedly interested in making Brady the Panthers’ next offensive coordinator.

LSU, of course, desperately wants to keep Brady.

Who knows if the Tigers will be able to convince Brady to stick around for another season. I’m sure they’ll offer him plenty of money, but so will NFL teams (if they want him bad enough). Brady spent two years with the New Orleans Saints, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants to return to the NFL. It could be incredibly difficult for him to pass up an opportunity to join a NFL team.

Opposing SEC fans, unsurprisingly, are hoping Brady makes the jump to the NFL. Or anywhere out of the SEC.

It’s way too early to tell where Brady will end up next season. Nothing will be decided until after Monday’s national championship game.

But it’s pretty clear that LSU fans want him in Baton Rouge for another season, while the rest of the SEC can’t wait to see him go.
