3. Kirby Smart — Georgia

It’s hard to argue against Kirby Smart being in the top three.

After winning eight games in his first season ever as a head coach, he’s led Georgia to three straight seasons of at least 11 wins.

And did I mention that he led the Bulldogs to an appearance in the College Football Playoff championship game in his second season ever as a head coach?

That’s impressive at any level. It’s especially impressive in the SEC.

Smart is only going to get better as a head coach. It seems likely that he’s eventually going to win a national championship at Georgia. I mean, he was a ridiculous Tua Tagovailoa pass on second and 26 away from winning one in early 2018.
